George Kauffmann a local friend who recently passed.  In addition to being a successful business owner he spent decades donating his time and effort as a voluentary public servant.  He was most fondly remembered for his record breaking swimming fundraisers.  Orphaned as a child, he never forgot the less fortunate of his community. 

I have volunteered to swim in this upcoming event; an honorary fundraiser.  Proceeds will benefit the Bayshore Senior Center and the Keansburg Historical Society.  We will be corporate sponsors and invite you to join us.

You can click on the link below to put the pressure on me to finish the 1 mile swim. It is scheduled on July 16, 2011.  Not the greatest swimmer, I may not be done till the 17th. (I will be doing a lot of floating.)
