Mel is a star again!

I submitted Mel's costume picture on CBS TV's website, "Cutest Pets" on Halloween.

That evening they showed it on the 6:00 and 11:00 news!

So I figured we had a clear shot at getting a plug for the good people at Canine Partners for Life ( www. k94life.org )and submitted his "I'm a Celebrity" picture with a link to CPL in the caption.

Should you be using U Piles instead of Z Piles?

For years they have been using U piles.

 

Maybe its time to think a little more like our European Friends.

    The bending strength of single Z piles, especially the lighter ones, is very low and damage by plastic deformation under self-weight can easily occur during handling and driving. That's why they are always delivered as double.

 

    The U piles can be transported and driven into soil as single, which will help in the complicated soil conditions. On the other side, the U piles can be delivered as triple with crimped interlocks,which will allow the contractors put 3 piles at once into the soil in easy soil conditions or open water and save money because less movement of machines is needed.

 

    The U piles can be welded together as boxes of double, triple, quattro and more and a mechanical properties of this structures are much better, then a single pipe.

  

Combined sheet pile walls consist of bearing piles and intermediate piles, and are used worldwide in heavy coastal engineering projects

 

Also the position of the locks is not on the front, but on the side, which are good in aesthetics and easy for anchoring.
